The 2026 challenge theme is to design (Ideas/Design) related to a Robotics and AI for social interactions applications. We look forward to receiving your entries around the globe."

Here we announce the “10th GCC Robotics Challenge” .

The 2026 theme is related to (Agricultural Robotics Systems), on 12 of November 2026 -Hybrid. 

 

This challenge is an outstanding vehicle to promote and demonstrate state-of-the-art technologies in robotics and their applications. The Challenge is open for the Eligibility : College Students, Graduates, Postgraduates, (UP to 26 Age).  In addition to the robotics challenge this will present an opportunity to gather all experts and young engineers to an open interaction event to discuss and promote recent advances in robotics. We are honored to invite you to participate in the robotics competition. Registration is now open through this link (below) website until 31/10/2026. The challenge is for encouraging young professionals and universities students to get involved with latest design/ thoughts for robotics technology. Awards will be presented to winning teams from each participate in the Challenge.   Kindly refer the details concerning the robotics challenge and the important dates. The GCC robotics challenge aims to encourage undergraduate students, young professionals, researchers  to build an innovative robust robot and compete in a pre-designed requirements with space and time constraints, utilizing their academic knowledge and technical skills.   In addition, the robotics challenge presents an opportunity to gather experts and young engineers to an open interaction event to discuss and promote recent advances in robotics. The challenge is meant for the international professionals.  Teams can participate, and each team is to present its ideas and main concepts related to a defined task to the judges.  The challenge also aims at exploring technology developments, achieving sustainable development, and building an innovative and informed generation.

10th-GCC-Robotics Challenge - 12, November 2026.

2026 Challenge Theme:

To present a Design (or) Simulation of (VLM/ AVLM) Models for Agricultural Robotics Systems.  This includes crucial farming operations:  Harvesting, Crop monitoring, Weed Management, and Livestock care. 
The 10thGCC Robotics Challenge, is of ONLY one final round robotics competition.   
 
The 2026 final round is set for the (12 of November 2026), Hybrid. 


 

CHALLENGE NATURE :  Hybrid Event. 
Eligibility :  College Students, Graduates, Postgraduates, (not more than 26 of Age). 
TIME:  9:00 am - 12:00 pm.  Hybrid Event. 
DATE: 12 November 2026. 
Location: E-Learning Centre - University of Bahrain, Sukhair, Kingdom of Bahrain.

NECESSARY INFORMATION
 

We are honored to invite you to participate in this annual robotics challenge which will run during 12th  November 2026.  The GCC Robotics Challenge is an annual challenge aims to provide students and young professionals to build robotics-based solutions systems. The GCC Robotics Challenge has been running for the last ten years.  The challenge has received substantial attraction from the young professional members, engineers, IT related specialists, and students studying Engineering and Technology. 

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE:

We are honored to invite you to participate in the robotics competition. Cups, Certifications, will be presented to winning teams from each GCC country to participate in the final competition.  Kindly see the enclosed details concerning the robotics challenge and the important dates. Please be in contact with the organization committee details, as posted. 

CHALLENGE ELIGIBILITY:

The Challenge is open to students/ graduates between the ages of (18 to 26).  Team members can be located anywhere around the globe and should have (from one to three members).  More than one team can participate from a single university.

ENTERING THE CHALLENGE:

2026 CHALLENGE GUIDELINES:

The Challenge is open for students studying fields of Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and other related programs within this scope. Maximum number of participates per team is (3 members). 

NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS PER TEAM:

For the CHALLENGE entry, this can be applied to individuals, or in Teams (maximum of 3/4 Applicants per one team).  Individual team members cannot appear in more than one team. Affiliations of individual team members must be clearly stated.

Each team should adhere to the PPT Template.  You can email the committee to get the PPT Template. PPT Template will be circulated to all teams also, and it is available online over this challenge website.

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES FOR THE FINAL ROUND ON 12th NOVEMBER 2026:
A_ On 12th of November 2026, the challenge will be conducted hybrid and through (MS Teams-Platform) across the out of Bahrain teams.  Access to MS Teams-Platform, will be circulated to all parties and members. 
B_ All teams' members/ organisers/ judges/ winners will be awarded an UOB  certificate of participation. 
C_ On 12th of November 2026, the presentation will be considered as an official submission. Please adhere to the Challenge Template.
D_ On 12th of November 2026, all winning teams (from local rounds) will come online to present themselves (PPT Title, Team Names, Affiliation, and Country) at the starts of the PPT presentation.
E_ On 12th of November 2026, all teams are requested to present their designs (max of 15 minutes), about their ideas and the proposed design.  The PPTs are an official submission to the challenge.
F_ Teams are encouraged to upload videos (recordings) for their design.  Upload only into a given link (will be sent by email).  Video recording will boost the understanding for the design.
G_ We shall pass all the (presentations + the videos) to a judge formed committee (evaluation committee) to do the necessary evaluation procedures according to defined guidelines. Results will be announced in two weeks’ time. 
H_ On 12th of November 2026, we shall announce the winning (1st ,2nd ,3rd).  Other winning positions will also be declared to all teams.
I_ For all the UOB certificates, please email to (ebmattar@uob.edu.bh), to receive the certificates by an email.  UOB certificates will be given to teams, the  judges,  organizers, and rounds winning teams.
